Job Summary:
We are seeking a ** Civil Design Engineer ** to join the team in Santa Clarita, CA. In this role, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on impactful projects throughout the Los Angeles and Ventura County regions. You will be involved in the design and execution of land development and public works projects, contributing to the growth and improvement of local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare grading and public improvement plans from conceptual design through final documentation for residential, multi-family, and corporate campus developments.
- Prepare and process technical studies, site plans, and entitlements for land development projects.
- Develop Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for public infrastructure improvement projects such as streets, sewers, and storm drains.
- Conduct site assessments and perform engineering design studies that incorporate infrastructure needs and regulatory considerations.
- Prepare and process plans through public works departments in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
- Perform constructibility reviews and provide a range of construction support services.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related field.
- Professional Civil Engineer (PE) registration in California is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works.
- Alternatively, 8 years of equivalent work experience in the civil engineering industry.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience overseeing the work of engineers, designers, and support staff.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam software.
- Knowledge of local jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures, particularly in Los Angeles County.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear exhibits, studies, and final plans.
- Ability to manage time effectively and respond constructively to feedback.
- Experience with jurisdictional processing and public agency interactions.
- High level of respect and professionalism in client and team interactions.
