Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.Job Summary of Roles and ResponsibilitiesYou’ll be asked to support grading and drainage/stormwater management design for new and existing electrical utility sites, renewable energy sites (solar, wind, battery storage), and access road design, permitting, and construction support.Prepare and review engineering deliverables in support of civil/site engineering projects:o AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStationo Hydrologic and hydraulic modelingo Stormwater management calculations, design, and modelingo Floodplain modeling and analysiso Site layout, grading, drainage designs and drawingso Bill of materialso Construction specificationsPerform detailed engineering reviews of the work submitted by othersProvide mentorship and guidance to others.Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer/Manager to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are metRequired Education/ExperienceBSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited universityEngineer-In-Training CertificationExperience in site design for utilities, industrial facilities, municipal infrastructure, storm drainage and stormwater management design, site grading, roadway, and utility design, sanitary sewer design and analysis, construction specification development, and development of construction bid packagesAutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experienceTwo (2) to eight (8)+ years experience in civil site/design as outlined aboveThe candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnelExperience using the Microsoft Office software suiteCandidate is legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorshipDesired Education/ExperienceProfessional Engineering License, with NCEES Record and state reciprocityStormwater management and hydraulic modeling software (Autodesk SSA, SWMM, HEC-RAS, etc.) experience in drainage, detention, and stormwater conveyanceElectric utility substation design experience is a plusManagerial and leadership skills a plusAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
