Senior Software Engineer

At MyAgData, we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer. Under the direction of IDM Chief Operating Officer, help design, develop, test and enhance our software products. The role requires proven ability to interact with our software development team and to assist in all layers of software development and the software development life cycle.

We have a C#/.NET web application hosted in Windows Azure. You must have experience with those languages and frameworks and platforms as well as knowledge and proficiency with Visual Studio IDE as well as Visual Studio Online for source control. Our application is deployed in Microsoft’s Azure Cloud. Cloud experience is also a plus, but not necessary.

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Software development on front-end and back-end applications in the processing of geospatial and other large datasets.
• Work with the leadership and business teams to deliver superior user experiences.
• Participate and lead conversations on architecture based on your experience in other SaaS applications.
• Test all software and work closely with our QA team to develop test cases.
• Review work of team in pull requests and provide developmental feedback to help bring up junior and intermediate developers.
• Identify and fix any problems with design or function of existing applications.
• Communicate and enforce development standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
• Proven hands-on leader responsible for implementing ASP.NET web applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively.
• Broad knowledge of web and software design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Solid hands-on troubleshooting and technical problem analysis skills.

Technical Requirements

• Some, but not all of the following:
• Experience leveraging Microsoft Azure (or other cloud provider) to deliver mission-critical applications.
• Experience with SaaS.
• Experience with MVC, Entity Framework, or Blazor.
• Experience with .NET, C#, SQL.
• Experience with Visual Studio.

• Through the direction of IDM Management and collaborative work with all other affiliated individuals, the Software Engineer strives to work with the technology team to architect, design, develop and implement software consistent with company policies and objectives.
