As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will provide, at a minimum, the following duties:
- Lead in the preparation of civil engineering designs and construction plans, technical calculations and reports, construction documents, specifications, entitlement documents, and permit applications for land development projects.
- Oversee the design and ongoing progress of a project, including project coordination with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies.
- Use independent judgment to formulate and develop advanced engineering concepts with ability to resolve complex problems and project coordination issues.
- Provide support to other team members and Project Management; Provide direction to other team members and serve as a technical specialist, staff advisor, and consultant.
- Participate in the development of proposal writing and fees for new project opportunities; Participate in budget tracking, backlog distribution, scheduling, and project invoicing.
- Participate in mentoring programs and career growth development.
- Foster the growth of other team members by providing mentorship and aiding in the enhancement of their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm, including Land Planning, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, and Corporate Services.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado or qualified to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
- A minimum of 8 years' of progressively responsible experience in land development engineering, primarily with commercial, retail, and industrial sector projects. Local market experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, and MHFD applications.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills which enable effective and professional interaction with clients, associates, and municipalities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to clients, team members, and regulatory bodies.
- Knowledge and experience with entitlement management, including the submittal/approval process with municipal governments and agencies.
- Ability to research municipal code, zoning and development standards, review processes, regulations, and design standards.
- Ability to multi-task on several projects and multiple project teams.
Salary Description
$100,000 to $130,000 Base, DOE + Bonus Program
