Job Description & ResponsibilitiesPersistent Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Integration to join our team and be based in our Fort Collins, CO office. As an Electrical Engineer supporting our Air Force Communication System Programs, you will support the delivery of our contract deliverables for these programs. This includes network design, RF mapping, communication system integration, Cyber Security, test planning and execution, report writing and delivery. You will play a pivotal role in communicating technical challenges to our engineering department as you strive to solve problems. You will be integral in supporting continuing program development as you will have insight into customer challenges and program needs and will work closely across the entire Persistent Systems team including Sales, Field Operations, Product Management, Engineering, and Quality.Position Responsibilities Maintaining expert knowledge of Persistent Systems products to evaluate and maintain program objectives Troubleshooting customers' communication systems and collaborating with the development and test engineers to resolve technical issues. Developing test plans, methodologies followed by final reports and summaries for internal and external customers Developing technical portions of responses to RFI / RFP and other similar customer requirements Build customer relationships with program clients through managing and interpreting their requirements and conveying progress to the Management team Contributing to program effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term issues; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; and recommending options and courses of actionJob Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Experience with RF communications and/or Network system design Proficiency in technical concepts such as wireless, mobile IP, RF propagation with an understanding of hardware and software concepts Proficiency in networking concepts such as IP routing and switching and VPN architectures Understanding of product development and systems architecture design Experience working directly with customers and end users Strong interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbal Must be available to travel up to 25% of the time Ability to obtain a Secret US Security ClearancePreferred Qualifications Master's degreein Electrical Engineering Proficiency using programing languages such as Python, C, C++, Java Proficiency in data collection and analysis Net+, Sec+, CCNA, or CWNA certifications Experience with RF mapping and planning tools such as Cloud RF Experience with wireless concepts such as MANET, Mesh, Ad-hoc, protocols and web architecture, with an understanding of hardware and software concepts Proficiency in advanced technical software packages such as Wireshark and/or MATLAB DoD Information Operations and Cyber Security experience Must possess an active Secret US Security ClearanceThe base pay for this role can vary from $140,000 to $180,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
