Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced permanent VDI Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of our virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). This includes designing, supporting, and maintaining our Citrix Virtual Apps infrastructure. The VDI Engineer will also be responsible for developing and implementing new solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain our VDI environment, including VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Work closely with other IT teams to ensure the stability and performance of the VDI environment.
• Develop and implement solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the VDI environment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for improvements to our VDI environment.
• Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery procedures.
• Ensure the security of our VDI environment by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role managing virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi, Hyper V, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining a VDI environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• A strong understanding of IT security principles.
• The ability to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications in VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, or other relevant areas would be an advantage.
