As the CNC Setup Machinist you would be responsible for the setup of CNC machining centers efficiently and effectively for multiple machining and cutting operation on various materials.
Job Title : CNC Set-up Machinist
Location : Oberlin, OH
Shift: 1st (Monday through Friday 6 am to 230 pm)
Wage : $22 to $25 based on experience
Temporary 8 to 10 week assignment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Efficient and timely setup of all CNC Haas Lathes in the facility.
- Ensures proper tooling is loaded into tool holders.
- Load programs and make adjustments as needed to produce quality part (i.e. speeds, feeds, depth of cut, chamfers, etc.).
- Set fixtures, tooling and vises required to produce parts.
- Review work orders and prints.
- Ensure raw materials are available and correct for the part to be produced.
- Run first production piece prior to handing off to an operator.
- Ensure all setup parameters are documented and repeatable prior to hand off to operator
- Develops common tooling for all CNC milling equipment.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3 years' experience setting up CNC machines
- Understands basic shop math, able to read prints, and edit programs using G&M codes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Will be subject to a pre-employment screening.
