Senior Engineer, Master Data Management

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Developer with deep expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced MDM solutions that support informed business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

MDM Solution Design:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective MDM solutions.
• Design and architect MDM platforms, leveraging both out-of-the-box functionality and custom configurations such as workflows, business rules, and data exports.
• Ensure MDM solutions are fully integrated with subscribing systems to meet business needs.

Development & Implementation:

• Lead the development and deployment of MDM solutions, focusing on accuracy, performance, and data reliability.
• Design complex workflows, business rules, and data export mechanisms to be integrated with subscribing systems.

Data Modeling:

• Build and maintain data models that align with company standards and industry best practices.
• Ensure the scalability of the MDM solution and streamline data delivery to other systems.

Data Quality & Accuracy:

• Implement methodologies for ensuring data accuracy and quality, along with reporting metrics to enhance data integrity.
• Provide actionable insights to business users for improving data quality.

Integration with Systems:

• Utilize data integration tools and pipelines to manage the flow of data between the MDM platform and other systems.
• Ensure smooth data transitions between the MDM platform and external systems such as e-commerce, search, and analytics platforms.

Technical Proficiency:

• Demonstrate expertise in designing and optimizing MDM solutions for various subscribing systems.
• Strong SQL skills are necessary to ensure correct formatting and data transfers between MDM platforms and other databases.

Performance Optimization:

• Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of MDM solutions, identifying and resolving issues to improve efficiency.
• Implement best practices for faster data processing and integrations.

Collaboration & Training:

• Work with cross-functional teams to align MDM solutions with overall business objectives.
• Provide training and support for users to ensure effective use of MDM tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in MDM development or a similar role with expertise in MDM platforms.
• Experience with Stibo STEP or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and Azure product suite is highly desirable
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data modeling, custom business rules, and product data workflows.
• Familiarity with integration tools and platforms, database systems, and advanced data management practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team of developers.
