Summary
Leads a team comprised of software engineers with experience in regulated software applications development, support and maintenance with a mission to achieve high levels of system availability, security and client service in order to maintain the organization’s objectives and competitive position in the marketplace.

- Directs the team that develops, implements, upgrades and maintains the software applications for the blood banking industry.
- Develops policies and procedures surrounding the software system and the respective data.
- Analyzes feasibility and assesses risk of proposals considering costs, time limitations, planning, and other technical and economic factors.
- Serves as project manager and/or team member as needed on various software projects.
- Works closely with organizational leaders to identify and deliver effective and efficient technology processes and systems.
- Works with the project management team to set attainable goals for team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Oversees architecture and leads efforts to develop a technical roadmap of all projects.
- Ensures appropriate software development procedures and processes are followed.
- Analyzes software requirements, implements design plans, reviews technical design documentation and unit tests.
- Participates in strategic planning to accomplish technical as well as business goals with the team, leadership chain and with customers.
Education And/Or Experience
Bachelor's degree in a computer related field from an accredited college or university; supplemented by ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible related experience including at least five (5) years of supervisory or management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

- Proven working experience in project management and people management.
- Ability to formulate, initiate, and administer policies and procedures for effective fiscal control.
- Ability to organize work for timely completion.
- Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to delegate, manage and supervise effectively.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Skill in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to commute with personal transportation.
