Products, Cloud Engineering and Operations business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to simplify operations and spend smarter. This global function creates and executes the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development and product launches for Basware’s global product portfolio. Together with other Basware units, Products, Cloud Engineering and Operations ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio.
Cloud Operation Engineer
will manage mission critical processes that ensure the integrity of the service, such as Problem Management, Availability Management and Change Management according to the defined internal ITIL adhering process framework.
They will also actively drive and coordinate the development of new processes and coordinate Service Quality Improvements
This member will be the go-to-person for managing significant service events such as outages, security incidents, releases, audits where technical domain knowledge and overall customer facing experience and strong communications skills are required.
Trainings, coaching and guidance for the other junior engineers. Should be able to coordinate with other engineers taking a lead role in case of critical operations cases such as outages, handling problem investigations, production service changes and development of new processes.
You will be required to coordinate with different stakeholders from other internal business functions for inputs, Root-cause analysis, troubleshooting issues and follow-ups.
Our cloud applications are hosted on top of AWS Public Cloud and are used by our clients all around the world. We develop our applications by using technologies like Angular, TypeScript, ColdFusion, Python, Java and AWS. We use following state-of-the-art tools to develop and deliver our applications into production: Git, Stash, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins and Docker. We also follow modern DevOps culture in everyday work we do and utilize DevOps practices like continuous integration and continuous delivery in building our Microservice based applications.
Please note that 2 days per week in or office is mandatory.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in a Technology field with at least 2 years of experience in Cloud Operations supporting production environments and IT management.
- Role experience
- Experience in handling production servers, Problem and Incident Management.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex platform and infrastructure issues.
- Experience in driving investigations in time critical situations such as production service outages.
- Proven analytical and investigative skills.
- Self-sufficient, with a pro-active attitude and ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
- Inclination towards problem solving and quality improvements by identifying scalable and robust corrective and preventative actions, fixes.
- Experience working in ITIL practices.
- Experience working with and coordinating cross functional teams operating across different regions and time zones.
