Our Hiring Process:
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking entry-level engineers for our Tempe, AZ and Goodyear, AZ offices. As part of our design and process teams, you will work on water and wastewater projects, including drinking water/wastewater/reuse treatment facility upgrades, conveyance systems, wellfields, stormwater management, water resources, and asset management.

- Combined, our Tempe and Goodyear offices have over 70 employees, with in-house support from electrical/instrumentation, structural, and CAD/Revit designers.
- Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports.
- Manage data for process modeling and design.
- Attend client and internal project management meetings.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
- Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
- Participate in fieldwork and site visits (mostly in-state).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case).
- Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience within the water/wastewater industry.
- EIT certification.
- Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Proficiency in GIS, CAD/BIM, BioWin, Microsoft Excel (PowerPivot), PowerBI, and databases.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
- Conducts self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA/QC.
