DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications in an Agile development environment using Python, GoLang, Linux, Restful APIs, and microservices; use AWS services, including ECS, VPC, IAM, S3, SNS, Lambda, and Cloudwatch for product cloud infrastructure; perform containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm; perform DevOps CI/CD using Concourse; work with databases including RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Cassandra; work with TCP/IP protocols, including TCP/UDP, IPv4/v6, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, and SSL/TLS; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing software using Python, GoLang, Linux, Restful APIs, and microservices; using AWS services, including ECS and VPC for product cloud infrastructure; performing containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes; of which three (3) years include using the following AWS services: IAM, S3, SNS, Lambda, and Cloudwatch; using Helm; performing DevOps CI/CD using Concourse; working in an Agile development environment; and working with databases including RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Cassandra; of which one (1) year includes working with TCP/IP protocols, including TCP/UDP, IPv4 or IPv6, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, and SSL/TLS.
