Responsible for managing Salesforce CPQ platform and acting as a strategic partner in using this system across the business. Guide the process of designing, testing, building, and implementation of Salesforce CPQ. Help guide the business in process enhancement and will work on future implementation needs. Accountable for designing and developing secure, scalable technical solutions on the Salesforce and CPQ platforms. Creates and collaborates on the solution and technical design artifacts and presents and participates in cross-functional review sessions. Communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs to Business Applications team members as well as business stakeholders. Display expertise in Salesforce and CPQ functionality and features, through all interactions on Business Applications projects. Provide technical support for new projects, enhancements, and bug fixes related to solutions being delivered on the Salesforce and CPQ platform. Work with Business System Analysts to design and implement end-to-end automation. Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics. Evaluate existing code and develop plans to reduce technical debt over time and establish a technology roadmap with system architects. Maintain and optimize full lifecycle software development using standard configuration, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, APIs, CPQ, and Force.com applications. Coordinate and collaborate with other developers and team members to obtain requirements, develop solution design, manage UATs, and post-go-live activities. Establish best practices and standards for high quality, well designed, testable, efficient code. Mentor, develop, and train junior developers. Champion, role model, and embed Samsara cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 5 years related (progressive, postbaccalaureate) experience. Must have Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce Developer certifications. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following:
- Configuring, tuning, maintaining, and installing Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM;
- Collaborating closely with team members to enhance the Salesforce platform, participating in designing, developing, and deploying new features aligned with evolving business requirements;
- Partnering with GTM stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Solution Consulting, Success, Professional Services, Enablement, etc. to align the sales process to Salesforce and facilitate scalable GTM processes globally;
- Releasing transformational solutions to drive sales acceleration (e.g., CPQ implementation, automation, etc.);
- Leading a team of junior Salesforce Administrators.
