Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build, own and maintain data pipelines in an Azure environment, leveraging various Azure data services. Additionally, you will leverage Talend, the ETL tool we use (experience not required). Data architecture, modeling, data quality and other ancillary data functions could also be a part of the job. We're looking for folks passionate about driving value through the use of data, and automating processes.

What you'll be doing

1. Accountable for the technical leadership regarding the data integration solutions and delivery, ensuring a sound and best-in-class design, with enterprise implementation, deployment, and operational meets the technical quality standards.
2. Responsible for planning and coordinating in carving out the needed dev/test environments, as well as defining and managing code branching/config strategies supporting concurrent releases.
3. Works with Data and Enterprise architecture team to define the data integration design/coding/deployment/operational standards and technology stack.
4. Responsible for data operations, in terms of scheduling, successful execution, and reconciliation of the data pipes in production.
5. Works collaboratively with Data Analytics, applications, DBA, and cloud operations teams to ensure end-to-end integrity and usage of data assets.
6. Provides inputs in shaping DevOps and DataOps practices.
7. Partners with internal and external data experts to infuse innovation with focus on cross-training and upskilling the existing teams.

Skills we're seeking

1. 5+ years of experience with Data Engineering.
2. At least 2 years of experience of Data Engineering in an Azure environment.
3. End-to-end implementation experience of deploying enterprise DWs, Data Marts, Data Lakes.
4. Data architecture, Data Modeling, and data visualization experience is a plus.
5. Ability to interact with business, other teams to create data mapping documents, ETL architecture/design artifacts, performance improvements, improve delivery & operational excellence.

Nice to have experience

1. Experience with ADLS, DataBricks, ADF, Synapse and other Azure data services.
2. Experience with Talend DI, DQ.
3. DevOps experience.
