Overview

We are seeking an individual to join our Experience Design Center team and contribute to product innovation by crafting engaging user experiences and visually appealing designs. Will work closely with UX Designers, UX Researchers, Industrial Designers, Product Designers, software engineers, product management, marketing, QA, and R&D teams.


Responsibilities

  1. Develop user-friendly experiences, translating them into visual designs for diverse projects. Influence from initial brainstorming to implementing UX and UI for embedded user interfaces and desktop software.
  2. Complete Figma design system UI screens using creative design strategies and strong concepting skills.
  3. Understand and complete all aspects and steps involved in building interactive design solutions.
  4. Visualize, design, and conceptualize user experiences. This includes information design hierarchy, process/screen flows, concept sketches, annotated wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity visual mockups, and optimized graphics production.
  5. Communicate design strategy, rationale, and perspective and present UX and UI design concepts.
  6. Understand and apply feedback with flexibility.
  7. Lead prioritization sessions, facilitate workshops, define all UX/UI deliverables with timeframes, and communicate plans regularly. Work closely with project leads to meet business expectations and requirements, and customer needs.
  8. Work interdependently and with other team members on key initiatives to ensure that the creative execution maintains a strong, consistent look and feel.
  9. Apply and contribute to design patterns that enable a consistent user experience across products and platforms.
  10. Collaborate cross-functionally with globally located design, research, engineering, marketing, product management, and other internal organizations.

Education

Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's Degree, preferably with 5+ years' experience.


Experience

  1. Proven ability in UX, with attention to UI design and design thinking process (instead of research or usability evaluations).
  2. Strong visual design skills - ability to lay out complex screens and understand content hierarchy.
  3. Skilled in Figma, with strong production abilities to build UI from concept to pixel-perfect completion.
  4. Facilitate creative and workflow workshops.
  5. Strong coordination abilities, with a strategic approach, to work with complex data and timelines.
  6. Extensive wireframing and annotation competence.
  7. Good interactive Figma prototyping skills - clickable prototypes with occasionally advanced interactivity.
  8. Experience with projects of all sizes and platforms (i.e., Software, Mobile, Embedded UI a Plus).
  9. Ability to collaborate well with project teams.
  10. Ability to present before large groups (5-30 people average).
  11. Ability to apply existing design patterns.
