Pick Basic Developer

Do you have an interest in working for one of the world's largest engineering and construction organizations? Our client has done over $3 billion in revenue in the last year and has a specific need for a Pick Basic Developer in their Pasadena, CA office.

Job Description

Experience & Qualifications:

1. We are looking for a Developer with strong experience in PICK Basic and UniVerse or a similar MultiValue environment, preferably with UniVerse database.
2. This individual will work directly with end users to maintain and support an in-house UniVerse database application.
3. We are looking for a tech-savvy individual with a strong desire to learn and the ability to become the SME of this application system.
4. A self-motivated individual who can work with minimum supervision to come in and hit the ground running.
5. This individual needs to have strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and be detail-oriented.
6. 5+ years of programming experience in UniVerse or a similar MultiValue environment.
7. Unix (AIX) shell scripting and Universe system administration skills preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with end users to troubleshoot, resolve issues, define user requirements and analyze workflows.
2. Code, test, and implement new and existing programs.
3. Document and maintain program procedures, system updates, and maintenance.
