Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join our financial services team with preferred locations of Reston, VA, Plano, TX, or Columbia, SC. This position can also be performed remotely in any city where CGI has an office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- DevOps practices and methodologies and integrating apps with enterprise tools.
- Demonstrate strong DevOps with prior AWS Python development background and proven track record working on some transformational initiatives.
- DevOps engineers will enforce quality gates and influence development squads.
- Candidate should have sound knowledge on vulnerability checks, and creating pipeline as code with GitLab, JSON/YAML.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Development/Automation.
- 5+ years' proven track record in DevOps.
- 3+ years' expertise in AWS Python development.
- Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and a must-have proficiency in AWS.
- Proven experience in scripting with Python for GitLab commands.
- Full SDLC lifecycle experience, adept at taking projects from Dev to Release.
- Outstanding communication and documentation skills.
Professional demeanor and the ability to thrive independently.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field.
