Job Description
Essential Functions as SR Quality Engineer:
- Innovate with Impact: Develop and deploy cutting-edge quality engineering tools like SPC, AQL, and CPk to revolutionize process reliability.
- Drive Transformation: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to supercharge productivity, slash scrap rates, and cut down on rework.
- Master Quality Control: Harness advanced statistical tools (Process Mapping, FMEA, Gage R&R, Lean) to elevate quality and streamline processes.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner with inspection, shop floor, Materials Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to tackle challenges and enhance processes.
- Optimize Solutions: Manage MRB activities and craft strategic solutions for non-conforming materials.
- Inspire Excellence: Mentor teams in top-tier manufacturing practices and propel Quality Management System enhancements.
- Elevate Quality: Work with engineering and office staff to refine quality standards and tackle contract reviews.
- Build Strong Partnerships: Develop APQP documents and forge lasting relationships with customers and external providers.
- Advance Technology: Specify and recommend state-of-the-art measurement and non-destructive testing equipment, ensuring top-notch documentation and calibration.
- Lead Change: Oversee RMA and CAPA processes, driving progress and ensuring thorough documentation and resolution.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GDT, standards, and specifications.
- Capable of working independently and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
- Solid business acumen with experience in management reporting and decision-making.
- Detail-oriented, organized, highly motivated, and a champion of improvements.
- AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
- Experience with customer PPAP requirements.
- Proficiency in programming CMM with knowledge of 3D vector math and geometry.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement; Lean experience preferred.
