Our client is an industry leader in manufacturing wholesome, sustainable, and high-quality food products. They are currently looking to add an Electro-Mechanical Technician to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr + (Based on experience)Position Overview:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician will ensure the safety and reliability of production equipment, including maintaining plant efficiency and smooth operations. The Electro-Mechanical Technician will work the day shift, from 7 am to 3 pm.Responsibilities of the Electro-Mechanical Technician:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility infrastructure independently.
- Minimize machine downtime and prevent equipment failures.
- Conduct scheduled and on-demand maintenance and repairs on operating equipment.
- Maintain and manage parts inventory to ensure availability when needed.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and minor electrical issues.
- Ensure the efficiency of production equipment.
- Assist in the installation of equipment to meet specifications.
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts using various tools.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical equipment or systems.
- Utilize critical thinking to identify and address alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
- Instruct and train operators on basic equipment care and repair.
- Adapt to varying duties and environmental changes daily.
- Comply with all safety procedures within the plant and maintenance department.
Qualifications for the Electro-Mechanical Technician:
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical troubleshooting experience with proficiency in reading electrical schematics and understanding 3-phase industrial electrical systems.
- RedZone experience is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of industrial mechanics including pneumatics, electric motors, controls, and wiring.
- Proficiency in welding techniques, along with plumbing and pipefitting experience to support maintenance activities.
- Ability to find and order replacement parts using catalogs, phone, and internet resources.
- Strong proficiency in mathematics related to maintenance activities, including verifying dimensions and interpreting diagrams for assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting purposes.
- Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe work practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
