Job Description
- Provide support to assess network hardware and software and monitor network performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the overall LAN, MAN, WAN topologies, routing methods, encryptions, access management, thresholds, and bottleneck management.
- Actively support and participate in each phase and hand over deliverables from the completion of the assessment.
- Provide support and discover network and related port management.
- Review and update documentation for monitoring, processes, network diagrams, and existing device inventory.
- Document and evaluate required assessment details for all the network devices (LAN devices, routers, switches, WAPs) and any other related equipment and services.
- Review and update detailed network diagrams and documents for network communication systems design and planning.
- Provide extensive, precise details for choosing the hardware and applications.
- Produce necessary data and reports.
- Participate in team and management meetings/reviews.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IP Addressing and subnetting
- Working knowledge or qualification in Linux/Unix
- Working knowledge or qualification in Windows
- Cisco and/or Checkpoint Certified qualifications
- Experience in Networking Systems, Communication Engineering, Network Operations
- Very good understanding of information systems and remote communications system architecture
