About This Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at Cyngn, you will play a crucial role in developing our innovative fleet management system for autonomous industrial vehicles. You will contribute to building a scalable, high-performance SaaS platform that enables real-time control and monitoring of autonomous vehicles. Your diverse skill set will allow you to seamlessly move between backend and frontend tasks, helping to create a cohesive and efficient system that empowers our customers to optimize their automated workflows and maximize operational efficiency.


What You Will Do In This Role

  1. Develop and maintain both backend and frontend components of our cloud-based fleet management system
  2. Collaborate with Backend and Frontend Tech Leads to implement new features and improve existing functionality
  3. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in languages such as Python, Go, or Java for backend, and React, Redux and TypeScript for frontend
  4. Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and real-time data processing pipelines
  5. Assist in developing and optimizing database schemas and queries for both SQL and NoSQL databases
  6. Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces
  7. Contribute to the development of advanced mapping features and geospatial data processing
  8. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers
  9. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues across the full stack
  10. Implement and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests
  11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tooling
  12. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in full stack development

Who You Are

  1. 5+ years of professional software development experience in full stack roles
  2. Strong proficiency in backend development using Python, Go, Java, or similar languages
  3. Solid experience with frontend development using React, Redux, and TypeScript
  4. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architectures
  5. Experience with database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL
  6. Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
  7. Understanding of event-driven architectures and message queuing systems
  8. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  9. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues across the full stack
  11. Good understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles
  12. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  13. Strong collaboration skills with low ego

Nice to haves

  1. Experience with WebSocket implementations
  2. Familiarity with mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox) and geospatial data handling
  3. Knowledge of IoT platforms or autonomous systems
  4. Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation
  5. Experience with performance optimization for both backend and frontend systems
  6. Familiarity with time-series databases for handling sensor data
