The Compliance Engineer provides energy storage system product compliance support and deliverables for product development, sales proposals, and projects by working with key stakeholders; customers, colleagues, consultants and authorities having jurisdiction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide support for product development and sales proposals through reviews and analysis of codes and standards requirements.
  • Provide compliance support for projects and provide reviews and input for compliance deliverables.
  • Review products and projects versus applicable codes and standards and perform gap analyses.
  • Understand local requirements to facilitate project deployments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues globally on compliance topics.
  • Represent LGES Vertech in customer/key stakeholder meetings.
  • As a secondary responsibility, provide hands-on lab support and coordination with certification organizations for periodic product certification activities.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise in energy storage systems is desired.
  • Detailed familiarity with existing codes and standards and certification processes, especially for energy storage systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to effectively communicate through multiple channels, including conference calls, e-mails, video conferences, and in-person meetings.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical field is required.
  • 2 years direct experience with compliance for an energy storage system, battery system, or renewable energy products and systems.
