  • W2 Contract-to-Hire, 6 Months
  • This position is primarily remote. With that said, candidates must reside in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, or West Virginia to consider onsite work roughly twice per quarter in Reston, VA.

Overview

Our client is seeking a Lead Production Support Engineer who has subject matter expertise in IBM Sterling File Gateway. The organization leverages this B2B tool for all inbound and outbound file operations. They use IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX) for mapping and converting the files to an internal format to ultimately process healthcare claims. From there, these are sent through Axway SecureTransport to customers. Whenever there are issues with the process, the Lead Production Support Engineer will leverage their knowledge of the platform and process to investigate the issue, perform root cause analysis, and work with the Engineering team to implement fixes to prevent the same issue occurring in the future. It is important to note – this is an operational/production support position.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Subject matter expertise in IBM Sterling File Gateway .
  • Experience using IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX / ITXA) for EDI technical mapping.
  • Strong experience in root cause analysis.
  • Experience and interest working in a production support engineering position.
  • Experience in HIPAA X12 transactions – namely 837.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Java/J2EE development.
  • Experience with Axway SecureTransport.
