Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through to production, ensuring that all components meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various projects, maintaining accuracy and completeness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure that materials and components meet design requirements, budget constraints, and project timelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring that mechanical aspects are integrated effectively into overall project plans.
- Conduct detailed analysis and testing of mechanical systems and components to validate design performance and identify potential improvements.
- Participate in design reviews, offering insights and recommendations based on engineering principles and industry best practices.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful project completion, reporting progress to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and project engineering, preferably in the railcar or heavy machinery industry.
