Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a System Test Engineer to work for a DoD customer based out of Warren, MI. This team is responsible for developing autonomous software for robotic combat vehicles. The System Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test specifications to verify software requirements for an autonomous system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle controls, sensors, and general knowledge of autonomous systems. This role will require a secret clearance and Insight Global will process the ideal candidate for an interim clearance! This is a hybrid position in Harrison Twp, MI.What you will be doing:Act as testing lead for the autonomous system implemented in ROS (robotic operating system)Own the V&V (Verification and Validation) workflow for the product lineDevelop test specifications to verify software requirementsWork with other System Engineer that writes requirementsYoull be responsible for creating test cases based off those requirementsCreate and maintain test casesWork with developers to ensure test cases make senseWillingness to develop and run tests using software, simulation and/or vehicle to collect data for ROS based autonomous ground vehicle systemsThere are verification engineers that are solely responsible for testing, youll need to work with them to gather/implement feedbackAssist requirements engineer and architect with decomposition of complex software systemWillingness to learn and implement MBSE practices have test cases be part of MBSE modelsPay range for this role is $40-65/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
