Facilities / Engineering Operations Manager

Sodexo currently has an opening for a seasoned Maintenance and Facilities Manager at The Hearthstone, in Seattle, WA.

Set in Seattle’s historic and beloved Green Lake neighborhood, The Hearthstone offers a deep connection to nature. The Hearthstone campus consists of three buildings: The Flagship Lakeside building on the shores of Green Lake, Cove West, and Cove East.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of all aspects of building services, project management, and sustainability. The facilities operation consists of building maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, laundry, and grounds services. Additional responsibilities include creating, monitoring, and maintaining budgets, human resources, inventory control, staff training, and safety. The candidate needs to be able to manage utilities.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with client stakeholders at all levels as well as internal staff. The ability to work with others and develop collaborative teams is essential to success. The right candidate will have working knowledge of all aspects of building services including maintenance, custodial, and grounds. Previous college or university facilities experience is very desirable. Seeking strong technical skills in all trades, especially HVAC.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Basic Management Experience: 3 years.

Basic Functional Experience: 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, or engineering services.
