PEC is active in the sectors of Education (K-12 and Higher Education), Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, Government, Manufacturing, Retail, Hospitality, Retirement Communities, Design-Build, Mission Critical, and Military/DOD.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applicants for this position must be fluent in Electrical Design including but not limited to the systems of Site Power Distribution, Building Power Distribution (including one-line/wiring diagram development), Lighting Design, Grounding Systems (including ground grid layouts), Fire Alarm, Generator Systems, and On-Site Renewable Energy Systems.
- Development of short circuit, arc flash, and coordination study with SKM/ETAP.
- Code Analysis (including hazardous area classification studies and design ramifications therein).
- Client meetings and communications.
- Lead team of electrical designers and engineers.
- Project pursuits/planning/development.
- Candidate will design/engineer electrical systems.
- Candidate will be responsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projects.
- Evaluation of electrical systems.
- Coordination of electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
- Report preparation and presentation to clients.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) credential preferred.
- Fundamentals of Engineering credential required.
- 10+ years full-time experience in the A/E/C industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact.
- Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
- Revit skills are preferred but will train as needed.
