Our client seeks a skilled Storm Water Engineer to join their dynamic team in Georgia. This role demands proficiency in AutoCAD and strong design acumen to develop plans and exhibits supporting proposals to utilize our underground stormwater detention systems on construction site/land development projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, working collaboratively to guide projects from concept through project plan approval by the engineer of record and contractor while ensuring compliance with regulatory constraints. Occasional construction site installation support may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Create site underground detention system layouts, designs, and system drawings and specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of stormwater hydraulics, underground stormwater detention designs, and local regulations. Must be proficient at reading and interpreting site civil plans and specifications.
  • Understand design practices applying to stormwater quality systems such as hydrodynamic separators and stormwater filtration devices.
  • Possess knowledge of state and local design requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with production and logistics and the installing contractor to establish timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Assist with the creation of product collateral and technical resources as needed.
  • Execute projects based on established criteria, ensuring adherence to high standards.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Civil engineering or related degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of industry-standard software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize strong design skills to create plans and exhibits for site/land development projects.
  • Comfortable acting with self-initiative and dedication while integrated into the development team to provide input and accept direction in creating engineering plans that meet client needs while respecting regulatory constraints.
