We have an industry leading focus on sustainable design and energy conservation.The HDR BES group in New Jersey is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team.Primary ResponsibilitiesI n the role of Electrical Engineer we'll count on you to:Coordinate work of the electrical design team on large projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a projectEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with other disciplinesCoordinate workload to complete the document on scheduleConduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplinesReview electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems and devicesCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsProvide construction contract administration as neededConduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators or TechniciansPerform other duties as neededLI-MP1Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasisEngineer-In-training, on path to obtaining Engineering LicenseStrong computer skills, Revit, Microsoft Office and electrical design softwarePrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desiredAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred Qualifications5+ years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)Professional Engineering LicenseLocal candidates are preferred.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
