Job Description:
Candidates must live in Virginia and be able to go to Clifton Forge, VA as needed.
Our client is trying to fill the position of Subject matter expert (SME) for Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop environment.
The role will be responsible for +150 Compute servers hosted in Azure, and 200 Windows Desktops.
This is not a helpdesk role.
Desktop support will be managing the desktops using Group Policy/Active Directory.
In depth Active Directory/Group Policy knowledge/experience is required.
Azure IaaS experience would be a plus.
Position requires frequent interaction with employees, customers, technicians, analysts, and specialists to troubleshoot problems related to the use of single and/or multiple information systems.
Work may include creation, installation, and modification of software, testing, and documentation on a variety of platforms.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned project responsibilities under limited supervision.
Required experience:
5 Years of experience with Windows Server 2019/2016 is required.
5 Years of experience with Active Directory is required.
5 Years of experience with Group Polices is required.
3 Years of experience with Windows 10 Administration is required.
Highly preferred:
3 Years of experience with Multiple Domains is desired.
2 Years of experience with Microsoft DNS is desired.
2 Years of experience with Microsoft 365 is desired.
2 Years of experience with Azure IaaS is desired.
