Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

  • Develop and implement FPGA designs using VHDL/Verilog.
  • Perform simulation and verification of FPGA designs.
  • Optimize FPGA designs for performance, area, and power consumption.

Testing and Validation:

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of FPGA designs to ensure compliance with system requirements and aerospace standards.
  • Develop and execute test plans, including the creation of test benches and simulation models.
  • Integrate FPGA designs with other hardware and software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of FPGA solutions within larger systems.
  • Create detailed documentation of FPGA designs, including specifications, design descriptions, and user manuals.
  • Maintain version control and documentation for FPGA development projects.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1553

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in FPGA design and development.
  • Experience with aerospace or defense industry projects is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog.
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles and FPGA architectures.
  • Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, or similar.
  • Knowledge of signal processing, high-speed interfaces, and embedded systems is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-reliability designs and safety-critical applications.
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., DO-254).
  • Due to U.S. Export Control laws, candidates must be US Citizens, Permanent Residents or Green Card Holders
