What you will be doing:
Provide technical support for new product design of medical device products within the electrical and electronics expertise. Provide technical expertise and communication with all segments of the business including marketing, field service, production, purchasing, testing engineering, electrical engineering, codes and standards, and quality.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and verify, through test and analysis, various sub-assemblies and assemblies to maintain or improve existing products
  • Accurately document designs through the creation and maintenance of design requirement specifications, product drawings, component drawings, material specifications and bills of material in accordance with FDA, UL, and ISO requirements
  • Completes activities with robust performance through a plan or program
  • Applies technical competencies in somewhat difficult situations
  • Generates detailed, high quality technical documentation to capture and communicate designs
  • Completes assigned tasks on time with minimal supervision
  • Informs others proactively about developments or issues that affect their work, and their ability to meet commitments
  • Uses collaborative communication style to negotiate win-win outcomes
  • Debate constructively and accepts ideas from others
  • Tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming sessions
  • Generates alternative solutions to problems or processes
What you'll need to be successful:
  • BS Degree (preferably EE/EET)
  • 5 plus years of engineering experience, or comparable experience. Electrical experience with hardware and PCBAs design.
  • Familiar with design control requirements and test methodologies for UL, FDA, and ISO
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred
