Network Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing our global network infrastructure, playing a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network solutions. Your primary objective is to ensure continuous connectivity and peak network performance in line with organizational objectives. Staying informed on the latest technologies and software is key, as you will contribute to improvements and innovations in our network infrastructure. In addition, you will provide guidance and training to your colleagues.

*Hybrid setting is 3 days a week onsite*

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a primary expert on Checkpoint security products, including firewalls and networking, and Meraki switches.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of all network components.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network.
• Manage network hardware configurations, such as routing tables and access control lists (ACLs), and perform regular backups.
• Conduct system and network monitoring.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
• Optimize network infrastructure and devices following change control procedures and performance analysis.
• Design and implement reliable network solutions in AWS cloud environments.
• Exhibit strong expertise in BGP routing protocol.
• Work with Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, and both AWS and on-premise storage systems.
• Manage and maintain HPE Servers.
• Collaborate on large-scale system and hardware upgrades.
• Lead or participate in various IT improvement projects.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of ISO-compliant processes.
• Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in Network or Enterprise-level administration.
• 5+ years of experience in System or Enterprise-level administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience with relevant Microsoft certifications.
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification required.
• Checkpoint certification (CCSA or CCSE) is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls and Meraki switches.
• Proven experience designing and deploying solutions using Cisco and Checkpoint equipment.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Elastic Block Storage, and CloudWatch is advantageous.
• Proficiency in BGP and strong TCP/IP networking protocol knowledge.
• Experience in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaaS) is a plus.
• Solid background in managing firewalls, routers, switches, access points, and VPN technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in a Cisco/Checkpoint environment.
• Familiarity with SolarWinds network management tools.
• Experience with enterprise-level storage systems is an added benefit.
• Strong project management abilities and excellent communication skills.
