Come join the Digital Merchandising & Savings team! As the software engineering lead, you will be responsible for developing features on Publix.com. In this role, you will be part of an Agile software development team responsible for developing APIs, and data loading jobs as well as writing high-quality, scalable, and high-performing code using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Web API, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in architecture and design discussions with cross-functional team members.
- Sitting in on code reviews with engineering team – provide guidance and feedback post-review.
- Hands-on development work for assigned engineering projects.
- When called upon – lead engineering initiatives for the Digital Merchandising & Savings team.
- Drive continual delivery of improvements to the applications and technology through sound Agile development practices.
- Help to advance our customer-focused journey.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience with .NET and C# development.
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting customer-facing, e-commerce websites and APIs.
- 3+ years of experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
- 3+ years of experience developing applications in Azure.
- Experience implementing software using Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies.
- Experience with event-based and micro-service style architecture.
- 9+ years of experience with .NET and C# development.
- Experience with source control systems using GIT and Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, CosmosDB, and Databricks.
- Experience with Azure Functions.
- Experience with Agile software development processes and Scrum.
- Experience with unit testing and automation frameworks.
- Experience using logging and diagnostic tools in Azure to discover, diagnose, and solve problems.
- Experience building highly scalable systems and performance tuning them.
- Experience with PowerShell.
- Experience with Solr.
- Experience developing websites using Sitecore Content Management System or other content management systems.
- Experience with Vue.js or other frontend JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with analytics, feature flag, and experimentation tools such as GTM, Optimizely, Launch Darkly, and Adobe Analytics.
- Experience building websites to meet WCAG ADA compliance standards.
