Summary of job content:


MUST HAVE ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE


This position reports to the Maintenance Manager at the Resonac Ridgeville facility.


The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning maintenance activities for both internal and contracted resources in accordance with the maintenance philosophy.


The Maintenance Planner is also responsible for maintaining the SAP database for assigned areas including PM tasks, pre-planned work order text files, identifying and setting up critical parts and recording equipment history.


Provide feedback on SAP performance and functionality issues to the SAP Administrator. Review SAP management reports related to work order processing activities and initiate corrective action as needed.


Provide temporary coverage to other planners as needed in their absence, and assist engineering with planning for maintenance labor support on equipment installation and modification projects.


Key Accountabilities:


-Actively promote safe work practices. Support HSE (Health, Safety, & Environmental) policies, procedures, and objectives. Ensure they are effectively communicated to and followed by all department personnel to help prevent lost time and recordable incidents, and property damage.


-Adhere to and support Resonac’s Environmental management system.Provide managerial leadership in fostering environmental awareness and responsible environmental behavior.


-Adhere to and support Resonac’s Quality management system. Provide managerial leadership in fostering Quality awareness and general department adherence to quality and process guidelines as applicable.


-Maintenance Interface with operators, technicians, supervisors, deputies, trainers, managers, project engineers, purchasing agents, and contractors as needed to maintain assigned area production equipment safety, capacity, and reliability. Actively seek opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.


-Process maintenance notifications related to assigned areas into PM orders containing the required operations, components, craft labor requirements, and external services as outlined in the Resonac work order planning procedure.


-Plan all contractor work that is needed to support maintenance activities within assigned areas. Complete all necessary documentation to support these activities. Act as the primary person responsible (PPR) for managing contractor performance when they are on site performing maintenance work in assigned areas.


-Enter, track, and close maintenance related purchasing documents for assigned areas and ensure all equipment in assigned areas is covered in SAP by appropriate inspections and preventative maintenance plans.


-Collaborate with SAP technicians to ensure master equipment records and the equipment history is updated as needed to reflect significant repairs, modifications, major overhauls, etc.


-Monitor the installation of new equipment and the disposal of obsolete equipment. Ensure new equipment and disposal of asset control forms are initiated and properly routed for approval. Ensure that correct measures are taken to update SAP equipment records, PM tasks, BOM’s, and pre-planned repair work text files.


Skills :

The ideal qualified candidates will have completed a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a relative Engineering field or a formal 2-year Craft Training Program in an Heavy Industrial Maintenance Environment.


Basic skills: Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.


Required to have formal training or extensive experience in using CMMS software for maintenance planning and scheduling processes in an industrial environment. Experience interfacing with SAP is preferred. Prior maintenance planning experience in a heavy industrial environment will be a plus.


Preferred experience would include proficiency in reading schematics to investigate hydraulic or pneumatic system problems, evaluating mechanical drawings for tear down and rebuilding mechanical equipment.


Experiences :

Minimum 5 years of Maintenance Craft work in a comparable heavy industry experience: chemical, steel, paper, or related can also be considered as a desirable qualification for the planner position
