General Summary:
This position is for software design and development of Bluetooth Firmware for Qualcomm Bluetooth devices. The candidate will be actively involved in the development of new firmware for Bluetooth's latest specifications and futuristic products for Mobiles, Wearables, IoE, and Automotive markets. Additionally, the candidate will support existing firmware through feature additions, enhancements, and maintenance. The candidate will closely work with systems teams and cross-functional teams to deliver quality software following well-established software development processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software on various platforms for Qualcomm internal chipsets.
- Work with other teams to determine and document requirements and drive design.
- Resolve issues as reported by internal test teams as well as customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Communications, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4-7 years’ experience with Programming Languages such as C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience and proficiency in C programming for embedded platforms.
- Good understanding of networking protocol stacks is highly desired; familiarity with mobile development is an additional plus.
- Understanding of Bluetooth protocol stack is an additional plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
