Could you be the full-time ITC Engineer in Seattle that we’re looking for?

Your future role

You’ll report to Scott Schaper (Project Testing and Commissioning Manager) and work alongside exceptional, enthusiastic, and collaborative teammates.

You will be an integral part of testing updates to an Automated People Mover fleet, impacting the safety and quality of the transportation journey of the public.

You’ll specifically take care of testing all updates to the Automatic People Mover System, including CCTV, Ethernet network/Wi-Fi radio, analog telephone, train signals (CBTC), and other safety-critical systems.

We’ll look to you for:

  1. Prepare and execute testing activities.
  2. Conduct deep troubleshooting of wayside/railway systems and equipment to identify root cause of failures and integration issues, and identify/define containment and sustainable solutions, with support of the ITC Test Lead/System Integration Field Lead.
  3. Ensure all required installation documentation provided by designers and instruction changes (including modifications) are adequately recorded, reported, and approved.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Equivalent experience of 12 years in an engineering position may substitute for degree with documented post high school training or supervisor experience.
  2. 8 years of experience in the design, installation, or test and commissioning of train signal and/or communication systems.
  3. Flexibility and willingness to support an organization in a 24/7 work environment. Ability to work varying shifts, including overnight (10P-6A), is critical.
  4. Experience writing test reports in proper English.
  5. Able to lift 60 pounds unassisted and walk quickly on uneven surfaces.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  1. Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  2. Work with new security standards for rail signalling.
  3. Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
  4. Contribute to innovative projects.
  5. Utilise our collaborative working environment.
  6. Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
  7. Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning.
  8. Progress towards ITC Engineer.
  9. Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
