The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Engineering, Prototype, and Automation teams and the strategic plan for improving processes across the site. This role will build strong working relationships across the organization, developing partnerships to solve technical problems related to manufacturing, safety, cost reduction, quality, product yield, and automation. The manager will report directly to the Sr. Director of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities, and Duties:
Directly manage 4 supervisors, a small team of Sr. Engineers, and ~20 team members indirectly including driving accountability, and holding engineers to timely execution, and delivery of value-added projects.
Develop KPIs, and tools designed to define, and measure performance for the department, and individual engineers
Support annual capital, and operating budget process in support of the Director, Operations. Successfully prioritizes, plans, and presents data/supporting justification to senior management.
Develop, and lead the execution of an Automation roadmap.
Oversee equipment installations, overall equipment efficiencies, and management of change (MOC) processes
Provide technical direction for defining, maintaining, and improving Entegris manufacturing processes with a focus on quality.
Work with Product Engineering to transfer new products into released/volume manufacturing.
Research and identify new manufacturing methods to be used to improve the overall cost, quality, safety, and delivery of products.
Assist with the development, planning, and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
Collaborate with matrix partners to enhance toolset development, and utilization, and execute to a high standard (e.g. FMEA, SPC. process modeling, Six Sigma).
Provide resources, direction, and expertise toward the successful development, and execution of capital projects.
Develop a vision and a multi-year road map that focuses on achieving excellence in the foundational elements of manufacturing engineering.
Coordinate, and enact site safety programs, while making sure safety policies are maintained
Create a healthy, and safe work environment for all employees
Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements):
BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required
At least 7 years experience leading an engineering function within a manufacturing environment. preferably in a high-technology, and volume setting
PMP certification a plus
Excellent performance management skills
Superior project management skills
Continuous Improvement certification (Lean, six-sigma, and/or TPM) preferred
