Job Description:
The engineer will have the following job requirements:
- Able to coordinate with external agencies for NRTL safety certificates as well as CE Mark and KC Certification for Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive and Machinery Directive
- Communicate with company staff and External Agencies on the appropriate standards applicable to the system products
- Handle Test Set up for External Agencies during Certifications of Safety Testing and EMC Testing as well as trouble shooting test failures with engineering group
- Familiar with National Electrical Code (NEC= NFPA 70), SEMI S2, S8 and S10, IEC 61010, SEMI F47, EN 602014-1, NFPA 79
- Work with Contract Manufacturers on Audits of Safety Reports and Files (2 times a year at maximum but reality is one time per 3 years)
- Knowledge of Product Robustness and Verification of Product Specs in the areas of Temperature, Humidity, Packaging, Vibration, Environmental Testing
- Background in Chemical Restrictions of Substances such as ROHS, CHINA ROHS, REACH, Congo Conflict Minerals, TSCA(EPA)
- Setting up and/or conducting some physical testing like center of gravity test, system tip over angle test with QA/Engineering team when releasing new product
- Respond and Resolve Product Safety Incident in the Field
Responsibilities include:
- Ability of using office tools with experiences in job
- Creating reports by using Word, Power Point
- Data analysis by using Excel formula
- Better having experience in using CAD tools
- Communication
- Can communicate openly and cross functionally with other sections/agencies without making frictions
- Following rules/procedures defined in HR documents and ISO documents
- Can create quick summary of each activity status to report them to manager
- Can go on business trips (in most cases, within US, Malaysia)
- Basic skill of electrical/mechanical materials
- Familiar with electronics, welcome ATE related experiences
- Basic skill in mechanics (Sheet metal, cabling, PCB, injection molding)
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner and obey all safety policies and procedures
- Perform all job duties consistent with the Code of Ethics
Perform all job duties within ISO standards, regulatory or statutory requirements.
