The Wealth Management Data Platforms team builds and maintains the data engine that feeds all customer, financial, security information and other relevant data to our client and partner facing digital applications. We provide a wide suite of data services that include Operational Services, Analytical Reporting, AI and ML use cases. The WM Data Platform is going through an extensive Data Modernization moving from On-prem infrastructure to Cloud Technologies for both Self-Serve Analytics and operational runtime needs. We're changing the platform and engineering to shift from point to point batch and file based connections to reusable data assets and products with a modern tech stack.

The team is seeking a Sr Technical Lead for our Client Asset Hub. This lead will work with tech teams from both data and platforms to ensure that we are creating highly performant, efficient and scalable data services across a variety of mediums and platforms ensuring a best in class WM Client experience.

As a Full Stack Cloud Native Developer with excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast paced environment and are able to prioritize your own and your teams work.

You dedicate time to stay on top of the fast changing tech space and invest a lot of energy in learning new tricks. You are caught up on industry trends in data and web development frameworks, Graph technologies, DevSecOps, serverless computing/architecture and cloud technologies along with building skills to anticipate what the near future will bring. You love clean interfaces and have a real passion for extraordinary user experience.

Your daily work will involve:

Be Innovative.

Developing best in class data and software solutions.

Participate on a high performing Agile Team and its related ceremonies.

Working directly with other agile teams and business stakeholders to ensure business problems are understood and solutioned.

Mentoring junior developers and ensuring best practices are followed by all engineers.

Learning new technologies and constantly evaluating the teams for best practices and ways to benefit the client.

You must have

  • 5+ years of experience designing and building data solutions and web applications on Azure or other Cloud Providers
  • Strong experience in software delivery following Agile and DevOps best practices.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Strong experience with CI/CD and collaboration tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, Confluence, Microsoft Teams
  • Strong experience with unit testing and test automation tools and frameworks like Junit, Jasmine, Jest etc…
  • Experience with PAAS such as AKS a plus
  • Experience deploying and hosting applications in containers and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in Java and Java Spring Framework
  • Proficient in Python
  • Preferred experience with Graph DB, GraphQL APIs, Rest APIs, Node.js, ReactJS
  • Experience designing and developing GraphQL and/or REST API using Micro Services, implementing event-driven architectures, and working with message streams.
  • Sprint Data, Spring Integration and documenting APIs with Swagger, Open API
  • General familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, Mongo DB and other NoSQL/Document databases
  • General familiarity with lake house and other data solutions on Snowflake, Databricks, IBM DataStage, Informatica, Master Data Concepts
