Client Details

As a VDC Engineer who will play a critical role in managing project data through building models. This position supports the regional leadership in Virtual Design and Construction and aids the implementation efforts of one large project or several smaller ones. You will work closely with on-site VDC and BIM engineers to develop and manage VDC execution plans while ensuring seamless collaboration between different teams.

Description

  • Support regional VDC training initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain VDC execution strategies in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Manage information flow and resolve any issues related to the building model.
  • Oversee quality assurance on model reliability and structure.
  • Assist with archiving models from preconstruction through post-construction phases.
  • Help introduce new software, technology, and processes for project implementation.
  • Coordinate and validate alignment between survey data and 3D models.
  • Support the Estimating Department in model development for various needs, including quantity survey and visualization.
  • Contribute to project audits and reviews in collaboration with Quality Control managers.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering.
  • Expertise in Autodesk programs such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with VDC and BIM concepts.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Synchro).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
