This stable and growing company, located in Indianapolis, IN , has served as a key player in the industry for nearly 60 years providing for the mining, food production plants, and manufacturing industries. Their 13 person and 20+ machine shop is dedicated to excellence with the latest, state of the art machinery being installed (and more machines to come!) including 3-5 axis mills, lathes with live tooling, and more.
In this role, you will take parts from cradle to grave, programming at the machine on MasterCAM, setting up, and operating 3 axis mills.
Working hours are on a 1st shift starting at 7 AM with some overtime. Benefits include PTO, medical reimbursement, and 401k.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate mill, lathe, and other machines as needed
- Program parts at the machine on MasterCAM
- Perform 1st article inspection
- Troubleshoot problems with the machine or program
Qualifications
- Experience setting up and operating 3 axis mills and/or lathes with live tooling
- Experience programming parts on MasterCAM
- Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, indicators, and the like)
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Strong desire to learn and grow with the company!
- TIG Welding is a plus!
