Functions will include analyzing and interpreting prototype designs and drawings; estimating tooling and fabrication time and cost; programming and operating 3,4, and 5 axis CNC mills, vertical and horizontal; programming and operating CNC lathes; full part inspection; maintaining shop capabilities and tooling; and a general focus on tight tolerance complex aerospace parts.Education and Experience:10 or more years of CNC machining experienceHigh school diploma required; Associates degree in Precision Machining and CNC Technology preferredRequired:Ability to program, set up, and independently operate CNC mills and lathesA strong understanding of a horizontal mill work environment and strategiesExperience with tight tolerances and complicated part setupA strong understanding of the HAAS and Makino machine interfaceAbility to program and run 4th axis and 5th axis mill partsAbility to read/interpret specifications on drawings, blueprints, and sketchesStrong understanding of GDandTKnowledge and experience with part inspection and Quality Assurance StandardsDesired:Associates degreein Precision Machining and CNC TechnologyProgramming experience with Mastercam softwareExperience quoting and cost estimating including fabrication run timesExperience with troubleshooting and solving problems with toolingWorking Knowledge of ISO standardsOrganizational, written, and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented with good analytical skills, a team player, and able to handle multiple deadlines and prioritiesApplicant must have a current security clearance or be able to obtain a security clearance through a government security investigation.
