YOU

As a successful Vice President, Digital Solutions Engineering, you will be responsible for customer facing software development including but not limited to web apps, mobile apps and website functionality. You will lead highly talented teams across multiple locations while aligning each team to a unified vision that is collaborated with the Digital Solutions Product team. The shared vision will be communicated to key stakeholders across the organization including executive leadership. You will partner with an innovative Product Management team, along with Digital Enterprise (IT), Marketing, and Product Engineering, to deliver consistent, high-quality releases.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

  • Operations (50%)
    • Develop, Modernize and Sustain the company's digital solutions software offerings with Digital Solutions Product team & CTO to ensure alignment with our business goals and technology roadmap.
    • Assess short- & long-term digital solutions software gaps, needs, and opportunities to meet as well as future-proof for changing market conditions.
    • Drive solutions engineering teams to deliver software organically, partner with best in class or by acquisition to cater to evolving market conditions.
    • Ensure digital software solutions are future proof and cost-effective, exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
    • Stay on the cutting edge of the most innovative technologies to solve our customers most pressing software solution needs. Work with the market development & product teams to utilize new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
    • Align the development of our software with our strategic digital solutions software goals.
  • Department Management (50%)
    • Define, revise and optimize solution engineering department's organizational capabilities & skills as the market evolves and business goals change.
    • Be the champion on digital technology identification, assessment, application and implementation of best practices, and collaborate with development teams to remove blockers.
    • Provide leadership regarding SW development, cloud architecture, services consumption, application design, DevOps optimizations and 3rd party integrations while maintaining technical skills and knowledge of digital trends and competitive insights.
    • Provide mentorship, direction, and enable growth of the following department employees: Software engineering, Software architecture and User Experience teams.
    • Develop and optimally manage the department's budget including the tracking of capital projects and costs, such that it maximizes ROIC.
    • In alignment with the Digital Solutions Product team & CTO, define, monitor, and report analytics/KPI's to assess digital solutions technological performance.
    • Use feedback from customers, stakeholders & team members to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to digital solutions.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in software engineering, computer science or relevant field required.
  • 10 years of software engineering management experience including design & implementation experience with distributed systems and applications.
  • Must have demonstrable experience in transforming on-premises features/products to multi-tenant XaaS solution offerings. Should have championed successful & quick incubations, scaled deployments, orchestrating cloud native services and infusing key infrastructure technologies (e.g. connectivity, compute, data management), and application development technologies (e.g. app services, serverless, etc.)
  • Software experience in building construction or management industry preferred.
  • Experience developing and executing market leading digital solutions in B2B & B2C market.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 35% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located preferably in the Bay Area, CA or Dallas TX, although remote work can be negotiated.

RELOCATION

Relocation is available for this position.

PAY

$200,900 - $301,400 / year

* Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
