Job Description

LinkedIn is looking for a Distinguished Engineer, with deep expertise in Machine Learning & AI systems, to provide thought leadership for the Data & AI organization.

As a Distinguished Engineer at LinkedIn, you will architect and lead the next generation of AI solutions that power everything LinkedIn does. From consumer to enterprise, from search to recommendation, from optimization to building our foundational AI technologies, LinkedIn relies on innovative AI research and applications that you will help us build.

As a key leader in the Core Data & AI organization, you will lead research, design algorithms, build software, anticipate and influence the state of the art in the industry, and leverage and create open source software in the process.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of work experience in machine learning/AI
• 6+ years of technical leadership experience
• B.A./B.S. degree or higher or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in a relevant field or related discipline (machine learning, statistics, computer science etc.), or equivalent research experience
• Strong academic credentials with publications in top-tier journals and conferences
• Experience in designing and implementing AI systems at scale to solve complex business problems
• Experience of technical leadership guiding and mentoring top engineering and operations talent
• Experience leading high-impact, cross-company initiatives

The pay range for this role is $238,000 to $390,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
