This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Base Cape Cod, Facilities Engineering Department, Roads and Grounds Division in Barnstable, MA.

- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- The position requires a valid commercial "A" driver's license.
- Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- The applicant is subject to pre-appointment and random drug testing.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.
Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:
- Ability to perform the work of the position without more than normal supervision. (SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT)
- Operation of motor vehicles.
- Work practices (including keeping things near, clean and in order).
- Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)
- Ability to drive safely (motor vehicles)
- Operate safely (non-motor vehicle)
