A little more on what the Smart Contracts Engineer role is all about:

1. Architect smart contract protocols and map out use case constraints with the product team.
2. Build secure smart contract protocols and backend services to connect users with the crypto ecosystem (NFT membership passes; Arkive provenance protocol, token engineering).
3. Drive standardization in crypto protocols by designing and defining interfaces.
4. Test protocols and audit for security gaps, often in an automated function and via in-depth team code review sessions.
5. Deploy contracts to mainnet used by tens of thousands of users to curate collections.
6. Interact with Snapshot and other DAO tooling products to enable user experiences.

Requirements

1. A green GitHub wall or 5+ years of experience working in a backend software engineering role; you have helped ship live products before.
2. Comfortable working in Solidity and with extensive experience in strongly typed languages.
3. You have full stack experience and feel comfortable writing both client and backend code that interacts with our smart contracts.
4. You enjoy seeing your tests pass and care deeply about correctness and code purity.
5. You’re a self-starter. You’ve either led projects yourself or worked as part of a small team before.
6. You pride yourself on writing readable and maintainable code. You understand that the code you write today will be maintained by someone else in a few months.
7. Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals and an interest in protocol engineering more broadly (a strong understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine is a big plus).
