Auriga Corporation was established in 1990 to provide high-quality design, engineering, and project management services for Electric Power, Telecommunication, and Information Technology systems. Auriga’s clients include investor-owned and municipal utilities, rail and transit agencies, federal, state, and local government agencies, and international public and private sector organizations.
Experience: 2 or more years of experience:
- General knowledge of Rail Communication Systems
- Knowledge or experience of fiber optic cable systems, RF digital communication systems, radio systems, AC/DC power systems, communication cable distribution; telephone, CCTV, Public Address, Intercom, SCADA, and network security systems
- Experience or good understanding of fire alarm systems
- Experience or good understanding of Cable Transmission Systems (fiber backbone installation, inspection, testing, and design review)
- Experience with Metro rail, commuter rail, or freight rail is highly desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, including presentations to stakeholders
- Attention to detail, strong client relationships, and teamwork
- AutoCAD proficiency is desirable
- Knowledge/exposure to industry standards and regulatory requirements related to rail communication systems
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an accredited college or university.
License: Valid Registration as a PE or an EIT (Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering) in the State of California is an added plus.
