The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Site Reliability Engineer . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our websites. You will work closely with our team to design, build, and maintain our infrastructure, as well as to monitor and optimize our systems for performance and cost efficiency.


In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our websites, as well as managing the quality, security, and performance of our carbonhouse cloud CMS and our venue and ticketing website environments. You will work closely with our team of Developers, Designers, Programmers, and Account Managers to ensure the best uptime, resilience, and performance from our applications and cloud infrastructure.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining our infrastructure, monitoring and optimizing our systems for performance and cost efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. With your expertise and knowledge, you will help us to continuously improve our applications and infrastructure and ensure that we maintain our position as a leader in the live industry.


Responsibilities

  1. Building and maintaining the hosting infrastructure for Carbonhouse
  2. Participating in incident management and providing on-sale support
  3. Developing and maintaining robust monitoring systems to ensure application and system health
  4. Managing monthly patching and maintenance of critical production systems
  5. Building and maintaining local developer environments to ensure uptime and reliability
  6. Maintaining strict security and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  1. 4+ years in a Site Reliability, Dev Ops or Systems Engineering position
  2. Expertise with cloud native environments built in AWS
  3. Expertise with containers and container orchestration platforms
  4. Expertise with continuous integration and continuous delivery
  5. Expertise with infrastructure as code related languages and tools
  6. Expertise with systems monitoring, alerting and automation
  7. Experience with Ansible configuration management

Bonus Points if you have

  1. Experience writing, modifying, and maintaining server-side code using the PHP programming language.
  2. Experience with FreeBSD, Haproxy, Nginx, iptables.

Pay Scale: $112,100 - $123,000
