Senior Backend Java Engineer :Oakland, California

The Backend Java Developer will join a dynamic team in the development of new solutions for clinician collaboration using real-time collaboration solutions and platforms along with solutions that leverage event streams, ML, and NLP technologies for iOS and Desktop platforms. The solutions portfolio uses SQL and NoSQL DB, Microservices Architecture, React/Node JS, Java, and JavaScript stack for the future roadmap to enable AI-based solutions for healthcare service enablement needs.

Technical Skill Set:

1. 10 to 12 years of relevant engineering expertise.
2. Experience in writing test cases; experience with JUnit 5 is an advantage.
3. Implementing caching technologies using Spring and Redis.
4. Expertise in using GIT and Git commands, and Maven or Gradle to build projects.
5. Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and writing ingress files, GitLab YAML files, and deployment of YAML files; experience in creating secrets/certificates using YAML files.
6. Draw architecture diagrams using a tool such as draw.io/Visio/MagicDraw to prepare design documents and collaborate in design discussions.
7. JQuery and AJAX experience are an asset to build POCs with front-end and back-end interactions.
8. Understand existing code and should know APIs used in all our services with API signatures.
9. Possess effective debugging skills and testing of APIs using Postman before creating PR.
10. Strong knowledge of software design patterns, Microservices, event-driven, and Cloud-native architectures.
11. Team player with good written and verbal communication skills.
12. Adept in an Agile development methodology.
13. Able to be accountable and manage oneself.
